A new virus has been reported from China, specifically known as Coronavirus and a cousin of SARS virus. 200 people have been infected with the disease in China. The first infected patient was reported from Wuhan, China in December. Scientist including the scientist Leo Poon suspects that the disease has spread to humans through animals.

The World Health Organization has announced a new guidance to all the countries to how to react, treat and get prevented from this disease in 2020, so it is important to every human to know about this deadly virus known as Coronavirus.

1. What is Coronavirus ?
Coronavirus is a large combination of viruses that are infected to animals mostly. Seven different coronaviruses have been identified by the scientists. US centers for Disease control prevention has reported that this disease could transmit from animals to humans which is very dangerous.
2. Symptoms of Coronavirus
Common human Coronaviruses, including types 22NE, NL63, OC43 and HKU1 usually cause upper respiratory tract illnesses such as common cold. Symptoms may also include,
- Runny nose
- Sore throat
- A general
feeling of being unwell
Also sometimes the lower respiratory tract illnesses would also result as symptoms, such as bronchitis or pneumonia. Specially the infants, people with weakened immune systems and older adults have a more threat from this virus.
There are 2 common Coronaviruses which have affected the people heavily
- Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS)
- Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)
3. How does this Coronavirus spreads ?
Generally viruses can spread from human contact, MERS virus starts from camels and SARS Coronavirus is suspected to be evolved from civet cats.

Yes, now it has been revealed that this deadly Coronavirus transmits from human to human. Specially when a one human come in to contact with another’s infected secretions, such as from cough, sneeze or even a handshake could cause exposure.
This virus can even be transmitted by touching your mouth after

Still the specific treatments for this disease have not been introduced. People still has to suffer without any vaccine. People have to recover from their own, from their own immune system. Though the treatment process is a blank paper ,there are some things you could do to suppress your symptoms.
- Take pain killers and fever treatments.
(caution : do not give Aspirin to children)
- Use a heater or take a hot shower to help ease a sore throat and cough.

- Drink plenty of liquid food.
- Stay home and rest.

6. Preventive measures from Coronavirus.
Since there is no specific vaccine for this virus, you may have to protect yourself by doing the following
- wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
- avoid close contact with people who are sick

- avoid close contact with others
- cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands
- clean and disinfect objects and surfaces
7. Does Coronavirus affect pregnancy heavily ?
Yes, pregnant women are in a huge risk due to this Coronavirus. The common types such as MERS and SARS are the most serious threatening versions. It was reported once in 2004, about a stillbirth from an MERS infected woman.
SARS also result spontaneous abortions, maternal illness and maternal deaths.
8. Can your pet get infected with Coronavirus ?
Pets can get infected with coronavirus and it also could lead to some deadly conditions. There are two types of Coronaviruses which could threaten the cats and dogs.
The feline infectious peritonitis can infect cats and a type of Coronavirus known as pantropic canine could infect to both the cats and dogs.
Cats also could get infected with SARS type which is similar to the currently spreading virus in China.
But except for SARS other 2 Coronaviruses which spread among cats and dogs won’t affect the humans.
