The lobules are the glands which produce milk, ducts involve in transport of milk ,they carry milk to the nipples and the connective tissues, connect every part of the breast tight. The connective tissues consist of fatty and fibrous tissues.
What is metastatic breast cancer?
Metastatic breast cancer is not a specific type of breast cancer, it is the most advanced stage of breast cancer. Metastatic breast cancer is the stage or the spread of the breast cancer to the other parts of our body.

Here though the breast cancer spreads to the other parts of the body it would be still be recognized as a breast cancer. The treatment process would be similar to breast cancer. As an example if someone’s breast cancer spreads to the lungs, still it is not a lung cancer it is a breast cancer. The breast cancer which spreads to the lung would be treated with breast cancer drugs.
How can the breast cancer spread to the other parts?
- Cancer cells invade nearby healthy cells
- Cancer cells penetrate to the nearby lymph and
- Cancers cells are transferred to the other parts
of the body through blood and lymph.

Types of breast cancer.
1. Ductal carcinoma in situ
Ductal carcinoma in situ is a type of non-invasive breast cancer, where cancer cells grow in the lining of the milk duct of the breast. This type is one of the preliminary stages of the breast cancer which is very treatable. Here the abnormal cells have not spread outside the milk ducts.
However if the this type of breast cancer is not treated properly it might spread to the other parts of the body as well. So, the detection of this type is really essential.
2. Invasive Ductal carcinoma
This is the type of breast cancer which spreads to the surrounding from the milk ducts. This is the advanced stage of ductal carcinoma in situ. Here if the Ductal carcinoma in situ is not treated or undetected it might lead to this type.
Invasive Ductal Carcinoma is the common type among all the other types. 70- 80% breast cancer diagnosis cases are from this type.
There is also a high risk for this breast cancer type to spread to the other parts of the body such as brain, bones and lungs.
3. Triple Negative breast cancer
Estrogen, Progesterone and Her/2-neu gene receptors are the main controllers of breast cancer. In triple negative breast cancer these 3 receptors are not present in the cancer tumor.
This breast cancer could be the cause of 20% -30% of the breast cancer diagnose cases.
Who face the highest risk to become victims of Triple Negative Breast Cancer?
Most of the younger people, Africans, Americans, Hispanics and those with BRCA1 gene mutation.
4. Inflammatory breast cancer
Inflammatory breast cancer is a fast growing cancer. It penetrates the lymph vessels and skin of the breast. This type of breast cancer does not produce an isolated lump that can be felt from the outside, but when the lymph vessels get blocked the symptoms starts to appear. It is also classified as a stage 3 cancer.
There are some specific symptoms for inflammatory breast cancer.
- Persistent itching and appearance of a rash.
- Breast becomes red, swollen and warm.
- The skin may become like an orange peel.
- Nipple changes such as inversion, flattening and dimpling.
Can a mother get a breast cancer during pregnancy?
Yes, it is possible a breast cancer to be diagnosed during pregnancy.
5. Pregnancy cancers
It is also a huge pressure to the mother and her family, because there is an additional concern, the unborn baby. It is very pathetic and a tough situation. Still there is lot of hope for the mother and the unborn baby, because of the magical treatment processes.

Do men get breast cancer?
Yes, the males are also born with some breast cells and tissues, even though the milk producing breasts are developed in men they also could become victims of breast cancer. Invasive ductal carcinoma is the type which men get affected often.
Still it is very rare for a breast cancer to occur in a man’s body. It is less than 1% of all breast cancer cases, for a man to become the victim. Only one man would be diagnosed with breast cancer among thousand men.
Other types of breast cancers.
3-5% breast cancer cases are Medullary carcinoma conditions. Here an unusual spongy like change occurs in the breast tissues. But an isolated lump could not be seen.
About 2% breast cancer cases belong to this tubular carcinoma. The tubular carcinoma cell has a tubular structure when viewed under a microscope. This cancer is very typical among the women at age 50. Tubular carcinoma respondes well to the hormone therapy.
Mucinous carcinoma (Colloid)
Represents 1 to 2% of all breast cancers, this can be easily differentiated from other breast cancers due to the production of mucous and poorly defined cells.
Signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
- A lump or an isolated part of abnormal cells that feels different from the best.
- Change in the size and shape of the breast.
- Changes to the skin of the breast.
- Redness or pitting of the skin over your breast, like the peel of the orange
- Peeling, scaling, crusting of the pigmented area of the breast.
